Pugnochiuso

Pugnochiuso: a charming locality, halfway between Vieste and Mattinata.

Arriving on the beach of Pugnochiuso, you will be greeted by the breathtaking view of the cliffs that fall straight into the water.

Nature has provided a very limited number of accesses from the sea to this beautiful stretch of coast: usually they are tiny bays and minuscule beaches, which allow only few visitors at a time.

This is anyway one of the distinguishing features of this stretch of coast, and also one of the things that makes the Gargano one of the most popular seaside destinations in Italy.

Since 2001, Pugnochiuso has become property of the Group Marcegaglia, which managed to transform the place into a beautiful Resort with every comfort. This tourist complex consists of two hotels (one of 4 and the other of 3 stars), a group of houses and a luxurious residence, called Residence Belvedere, located in the highest part of Pugnochiuso.
